Purpose:
This handy tool returns basic computer info as :
Computer name, User account, Computer Manufacture, Model, Serial number, IP-address(es)
Specially created to help PC-administrators or HELPDESK support teams.
Specifications:
- PC Serial Nr is written in Visual Basic Scripting and is based on WMI
- You can find the icon on top of the 'Start'-button
- I packaged the tool in a .MSI file. This makes a very easy distribution possible to the users desktops. (SMS, AD, ZENWORKS, logon scripts, etc....)
- Tested platforms : Windows NT/2000/XP/2003. Runs not on Windows 9x
